Guiding a remote team of Billing Associates, the full-time Medical Billing Team Lead will oversee billing operations, ensure compliance, and mentor staff while managing claims, collections, and denial processes. Key responsibilities Supervise and develop a team of Billing Associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback Oversee claims submission and coding accuracy, serving as the first point of escalation for complex issues Maintain documented billing workflows and ensure team compliance with industry regulations and internal protocols Required qualifications 5+ years of experience in medical billing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role Strong understanding of medical coding standards and insurance claim processes Experience with Apero or similar practice management/billing software preferred Professional coding or billing certification (CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or CMRS) is a plus Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a remote team effectively
