Medical Biller

Role: Medical Biller

Location: New York, NY 10037

Pay Range: $23-27/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Duration: 13-week contract with a strong possibility of further extension

Interview: In-person interview required

What You'll Do:

• Review patient accounts and correct billing/claim edits

• Prepare and submit paper & electronic claims

• Process rejections, denials, and insurance correspondence

• Handle insurance billing, follow-ups, and claim resolution

• Process pre-authorizations and document responses

• Audit patient accounts and apply adjustments as needed

• Post payments and process patient statements

• Follow up on past-due patient and insurance accounts

• Provide billing-related customer service and document interactions

• Work with other departments to resolve billing issues

What We're Looking For:

✅ Medical billing / backend billing experience

✅ Experience with billing edits, claims processing & denial management

✅ Experience with Epic and/or insurance billing systems

✅ High School Diploma or equivalent required (minimum)

✅ Must be available for an in-person interview
