What You'll Do
As a Medical Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting providers and delivering excellent patient care. Responsibilities include:
* Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and updating medical histories
* Assisting with procedures and exams
* Performing clinical duties such as injections, EKGs, venipuncture, and lab testing
* Documenting patient information in the EMR
* Coordinating patient flow and supporting providers
* Educating patients and supporting follow-up care
* Maintaining exam rooms, supplies, and equipment
* Additional duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
Required:
* Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 3 years of experience
* CPR certification
* Strong computer and communication skills
Preferred:
* Medical Assistant certification
* EMR experience
* 0-2 years of clinical experience
* Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
