Medical Assistant

About the Role

We’re looking for a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment while providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients in a professional and welcoming manner
• Take and record patient vital signs and medical histories
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Assist providers during exams and minor procedures
• Administer medications and injections as directed
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
• Perform basic clinical tasks such as EKGs, wound care, and other duties as appropriate
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating patient care
• Communicate with pharmacies, laboratories, and other healthcare providers as needed
• Clean and maintain exam rooms and clinical equipment
• Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines
• Provide patients with clear instructions and a positive experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assistant certification preferred or required based on state regulations
• Previous medical office or clinical experience preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a team
• Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach
