Responsible for operating a multi-line switchboard, operates in house paging system in a professional manner and maintains a general information center for the facility.ScheduleFlexible, may require some evening and weekendsPrimary Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork in practice management system database calendar for clinic siteAccept and confirm patient appointments over the telephoneConduct outbound phone calls for follow-up appointments and reminder patient appointmentsConduct patient care surveys for patient care reportsDocuments and reports patient complaints and grievances to supervisor for appropriate corrective action planUpdate and maintain logs of patient phone calls and appointmentsOther duties as designated by Clinic Manager or Operations DirectorSecondary Duties and ResponsibilitiesAnswers telephone, take messages, schedule appointments and provide general agency and/or program informationLog calls for different departmentsOpen and distribute mail accordingly.QualificationsMinimum RequirementsMicrosoft Office/Word/Excel/OutlookExcellent Communication SkillsExcellent Customer Service SkillsBilingual English/Spanish requiredAbility to work as a team player and work independentlyReliable transportationMust be able to travel from facility to facilityThis position requires 10% travel outside the local area.Required Education/Experience and/or Licensure/CertificationMedical Assistant Certificate or Certified Medical AssistantHigh school diploma or GED equivalentOne (1) year minimum customer service experience, preferably in a medical settingCurrent BLS CertificationValid State IdentificationMust maintain active clinical privileges and meet all credentialing & privileging requirements at all times to include, but not limited to, regularly scheduled performance of clinical duties and maintain active and current applicable licenses, certification, diplomas and trainings.Commitment to goals and philosophy of Northeast Community ClinicPhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsOSHA Category 1 – Involves exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.The work is majority of the time non-sedentary in nature.The employee is regularly required to communicate, frequently required to use repetitive motions, move, remain stationary, regularly push, pull and lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds.Must possess mobility to work in a standard office/clinic setting (in some cases both settings) and to use standard office/clinic equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, read printed materials and use a computer, and communicate in person and over the telephone.
