We are currently seeking an Urgent Care Medical Assistant to join our growing team at our family-owned and operated Urgent Care! You will focus on providing high-quality patient care as part of a healthcare team, whether in the back office or at the check-in desk.
Clinic hours are 8 AM to 8 PM Monday through Friday and 8 AM to 6 PM Saturday and Sunday, giving lots of room for flexibility to accommodate everyone's availability and lifestyle.
Full time, up to 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
* Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
* Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
* Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
* Escort patients to exam rooms
* Assist patients with check-in, triage, and verify insurances
* Take vitals and room patients, ensuring their comfort during their visit
* Perform medical procedures as necessary, supported by one of our friendly and helpful providers
* Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals, often over the phone
* Maintain patient medical records
* Clean and sanitize patient areas and exam rooms, stocking if needed
* Act with honesty and integrity in all business transactions
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in healthcare field, preferably urgent care
* Familiarity with medical billing procedures
* Strong organizational skills
* Strong customer service and ability to build rapport with patients
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
