The OU maintains a kosher certification service, whose circled U symbol is found on the labels of many kosher commercial and consumer food products.Position Overview: The Orthodox Union (OU) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and strategic Media Placement Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of paid media placements across the organization.This role is responsible for ensuring that all media buys are strategically aligned, accurately executed, and delivered on time across print, digital, and other relevant channels.
The Media Placement Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for media vendors, manage internal coordination across teams, and support the development of efficient systems and processes to streamline media planning and execution.This position requires a strategic thinker who can develop and implement media placement strategies that maximize visibility, engagement, and return on investment (ROI). It also requires a strong customer service mindset, the ability to work collaboratively across departments, to understand stakeholder needs, and to deliver a high-quality, responsive experience to internal and external partners.Responsibilities:Develop and manage strategic media placement plans across print, digital, and other channels to maximize reach and ROITranslate organizational goals into effective, data-driven media strategiesCoordinate with internal stakeholders to align on messaging, timing, and campaign objectivesEnsure all ads are reserved, scheduled, and delivered accurately, including correct sizing, copy, and placementServe as the primary point of contact for media vendors and third-party partnersNegotiate rates and added value opportunities to maximize media spend across the organizationMaintain organized records of vendor specifications, pricing, and performance metrics historyPartner closely with teams across departments to understand needs, priorities, and goalsProvide a high level of customer service by ensuring clear communication, responsiveness, and reliabilityProactively identify and resolve issues while maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholdersManage and maintain the media calendar to ensure timely and accurate placementsCoordinate publishing schedules with vendors and internal teamsImplement and manage systems to streamline workflows, approvals, and media planningPartner with the Operations Manager to process and track invoicesEnsure accuracy of billing against agreed-upon placements, rates, and deliverablesSupport internal budget tracking and reconciliation for media spendTrack and report on cost savings, added value, and efficiencies achieved through media negotiations and strategic planningMaintain organized documentation of all media purchases and financial recordsTrack and report on paid media performance using relevant KPIsProvide post-campaign analysis and insights and utilize data to refine future media strategiesIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, performance, and cost-effectivenessCoordinate with the external PR firm and internal stakeholders to support the placement and tracking of earned media opportunitiesEnsure alignment between paid and earned media efforts where relevantQualifications:BA/BS required2-5 years of relevant experienceFamiliarity with the Jewish media landscape strongly preferredExperience with media buying, planning, or campaign coordinationDemonstrated ability to think strategically and develop media plans that drive measurable resultsStrong customer service skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholdersExcellent organizational skills with high attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with project management tools such as Monday.comUnderstanding of paid media KPIs and performance metricsSalary & Benefits:The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000, commensurate with experience.Health, Dental & Vision Insurance: The OU offers health insurance through an Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA).
