The Light of Truth Center, Inc. is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Volunteer Media Coordinator to help share the organization's mission and expand community awareness through engaging digital communications.

Position Summary

The Volunteer Media Coordinator will assist in promoting programs, events, fundraising activities, and recovery success stories across digital platforms while helping strengthen the organization's public presence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create engaging social media content.
  • Schedule and manage posts across multiple platforms.
  • Design flyers, graphics, and promotional materials.
  • Assist with photography and short-form video production.
  • Help maintain website content.
  • Promote fundraising campaigns and special events.
  • Capture community stories that highlight hope and recovery.
  • Support email newsletters and digital communications.
  • Maintain a consistent organizational brand and messaging.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop marketing strategies.

Qualifications

  • Interest or experience in communications, marketing, journalism, graphic design, public relations, photography, videography, or digital media.
  • Familiarity with Canva and social media platforms.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Creative thinker with attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Passion for community service and nonprofit work.

Experience is welcomed but not required. Students, emerging professionals, retirees, and experienced media professionals are encouraged to apply.

Time Commitment

Approximately 5–10 hours per week with a flexible schedule. Some evening or weekend availability may be requested for special events.
