Med/Surg Oncology Nurse Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Med/Surg Oncology Nurse Manager for MountainView Hospital to lead our team and drive excellence in patient care.

Job Summary

• Oversee the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing care provision in accordance with established policies and procedures; hold staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes.
• Manage nursing practice and unit operations, facilitating effective interdisciplinary care coordination.
• Lead efforts to attain a superior patient experience and build a competitively strong organization through attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining talent.
• Manage staff scheduling, ensuring staffing aligns with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Control operating expenses, including utilization of supplies and equipment; identify cost-reduction opportunities and implement actions to achieve savings.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred, required within two years of hire or promotion.
• Minimum two years of applicable experience.
• Current RN license in the state(s) of practice and/or an active compact license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification required.
