Travel Requirement: Approximately 20% (including international travel)

Job Summary
Client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to take overall responsibility for workshop operations involving the repair, assembly, maintenance, and servicing of gearboxes and winches.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on mechanical experience, particularly in drive technology, along with the ability to coordinate workshop activities, supervise subcontractors, manage customer projects, and ensure high standards of quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage workshop operations, including gearbox and winch repair, assembly, and servicing.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring timely execution and quality standards.
Manage procurement and inventory of spare parts, consumables, tools, and workshop supplies.
Schedule and monitor customer orders, repair jobs, and service projects through the ERP system.
Conduct quality inspections and final checks before product delivery.
Manage workshop resources, including personnel, equipment, tools, and capacity planning.
Collaborate with sales, engineering, purchasing, and operations teams.
Monitor project costs, delivery schedules, and operational performance.
Communicate with customers regarding repair progress, technical requirements, and delivery timelines.
Review technical documentation, work instructions, and repair specifications.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Maintain accurate workshop, procurement, and quality documentation in the ERP system.
Provide technical guidance, training, and leadership to workshop personnel.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 5+ years of relevant mechanical experience.
Proven hands-on experience in the assembly, maintenance, and repair of gearboxes and winches.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, preferably in drive technology.
Ability to work independently with a structured, responsible, and reliable approach.
Experience in customer service or technical field service is highly desirable.
Valid driver's license.
Willingness to travel approximately 20%, including international assignments.
Strong communication, teamwork, and customer-service skills.
Ability to interact professionally with customers and represent the company on-site.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably Sage, is an advantage.
Willingness to participate in ongoing technical training and professional development.
