What You'll Do As a Mechanical Systems Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems, assemblies, and products. Working closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Project Management, Sales, Service, and customers, you'll transform business and customer requirements into reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.In this role, you will:Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, and components utilizing 3D CAD softwareCreate detailed engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical documentationPerform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate designs and support engineering decisionsConduct DFMEA, risk assessments, root cause analyses, and safety evaluationsDevelop and evaluate concepts for manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, and cost effectivenessEnsure compliance with industry standards, engineering requirements, safety regulations, and customer specificationsSupport project schedules, engineering milestones, and deliverable completionMaintain engineering documentation, revision control, and design recordsProvide technical support to internal teams, suppliers, and customersSupport prototype development, testing, and product validation activitiesCollaborate with manufacturing teams on product launches, production improvements, and engineering changesParticipate in design reviews, validation activities, and risk assessmentsSupport Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)Work with suppliers regarding component selection, technical requirements, and design reviewsPerform finite element analysis (FEA), structural evaluations, and engineering simulations as requiredSupport value engineering, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiativesAssist with troubleshooting field issues and customer technical concernsSupport installation, startup, and commissioning activities as neededRequirements We're seeking an innovative and detail-oriented engineer with strong mechanical design experience, excellent analytical abilities, and a passion for developing world-class engineered products.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering disciplineMinimum three (3) years of mechanical design engineering experienceProficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, AutoCAD, or equivalentStrong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&TExperience performing engineering calculations, design validation, and engineering analysisStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperience with motion control systems, automation equipment, industrial machinery, or capital equipmentKnowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, structural analysis, and machine designExperience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systemsExperience supporting manufacturing and production environmentsLean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experienceYour Work Schedule This is a full-time, exempt position working Monday through Friday.
