Mechanical Systems Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Systems Engineer to work on site in Austin, TX and support the strategy and introduction of products based on unique and highly differentiated capabilities of a foundry for semiconductor microsystems and defense electronics companies. Their mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. They are developing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technology that will define future roadmaps of semiconductor devices including logic, memory, 3D packaged devices, including thermal management, etc.

Responsibilities

• Manages research projects, including defining and tracking project goals and milestones and supervising of the work of research team members.
• Designs, fabricates, assembles and tests equipment systems.
• Researches and coordinates the procurement of various equipment and sub-systems.
• Compiles reports on costs and inventory levels.

Skills and Requirements

• 1 + year of experience in nanofabrication, precision machine design, mechatronics, systems and controls, instrumentation, roll-to-roll systems development.
• Prior experience with standard aspects of equipment development, including CAD software, and modeling and simulation software.
• Goal-oriented and demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, precision systems engineering, or other relevant discipline.
• Proficient with modeling and simulationSemiconductor industry experience
