Lead Mechanical Delivery on a Major Hyperscale Data Center

Preston Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to join a leading mechanical contractor on a major hyperscale data center development in the Virginia market.

This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role on a hyperscale data center, delivering a $50M mechanical scope on one of the region's most significant mission-critical construction projects.

The Opportunity:

As Mechanical Superintendent, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of all on-site mechanical construction activities. You will coordinate field teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders to ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently and in line with schedule and quality expectations.

Working closely with Project Management and other trade partners, you will drive productivity, plan manpower and sequencing, resolve field issues and support the project through commissioning and closeout.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily mechanical construction activities across the project.
• Manage mechanical foremen, subcontractors and field personnel.
• Plan manpower, equipment, materials and installation sequencing.
• Drive site safety, quality, productivity and schedule performance.
• Monitor project progress and maintain key programme milestones.
• Coordinate mechanical installations alongside other trades.
• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact delivery.
• Ensure all work complies with drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Support system testing, commissioning, punch-list completion and project closeout.
• Maintain clear communication between field leadership and Project Management.
