Mechanical Project ManagerSouthern Mechanical is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead mechanical construction projects from kickoff through closeout. This role is responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating all aspects of projects involving HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems.The ideal candidate will work closely with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, customers, and internal leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract documents and quality standards.What We Offer:Annual Salary: $120,000–$150,000+, depending on experienceMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceCompany-Paid Basic Life InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability Coverage401(k) Retirement Savings PlanPaid HolidaysPaid Time OffProfessional Development and Career Growth OpportunitiesWhat You'll Do:Manage mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through completionOversee project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and cost controlReview contracts, drawings, specifications, and project scopeCoordinate with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, vendors, and customersTrack labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor performanceManage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, purchase orders, and closeout documentsMonitor project progress and address issues that may impact schedule, cost, or qualityEnsure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and applicable codesMaintain strong communication with clients, project teams, and internal departmentsSupport billing, job costing, and reporting throughout the life of the projectWhat You'll Bring:5 – 8 years of project management experience in mechanical construction, HVAC, plumbing, or related tradesStrong understanding of mechanical systems, construction processes, and project coordinationAbility to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documentsExperience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and change ordersStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsProficiency with project management software, Microsoft Office, and construction documentation toolsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in commercial multi-family constructionBackground in HVAC, plumbing, piping, or mechanical contractingDegree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field preferredExperience with Estimating, ERP, Procore, Bluebeam, Viewpoint, or similar platformsLicensing or certifications in HVAC, Plumbing, Mechanical Systems, strongly preferredWork Environment:Combination of office and jobsite workMay require travel to project locations as neededFast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlinesWorking with our Company:Founded in 1992, Southern Mechanical is an operated company headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee.
