Mechanical Project EstimatorTessiers Mechanical Contractors, the Midwest's Premier Mechanical Contractor, has an immediate opening for a full-time Project Estimator. The project estimator will be involved in many aspects of the company's project take-off and estimating activities. This position will report directly to the Preconstruction Leader.

Ideally, we would like this position to be located in our Rapid City, SD office.Key Responsibilities:Review construction project specifications and related documents to understand project requirements and avoid or remove potential ambiguitiesPerform take-offs and project estimates based on construction project specifications and related documents for HVAC and plumbing systemsWork closely with other members of the estimating and preconstruction team to support the cost estimation processEducation and Work Experience:Two plus years of estimating experience is required; five years or more is preferredA background in HVAC, plumbing, sheet metal and pipingKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, addenda, change documents, and technical procedures related to the mechanical contracting trades is requiredAbility to take-off multiple trades and perform take-offs on incomplete designsExperience estimating medium to large construction projects is a plusExperience in healthcare, manufacturing, and industrial projects is also a plusAbility to handle take-off and estimating tasks on multiple projects at one time with the ability to prioritize these activitiesProficiency with industry specific take-off and estimating software such as FabESTmep, Revit, and Bluebeam is a plusHighly proficient in Microsoft suite of productsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDetail oriented with strong organizational skillsPrompt and responsive with a measure of urgency dealing with tasks at handMust be able to work effectively alone and as part of a teamExperience with Trimble or willingness to learn is a plusOption to work overtime when availableBenefits include:Health, dental, and vision insuranceMatching 401(k)Employee Stock Purchase ProgramProfit Sharing8 paid Holidays and immediate PTOLong term disability, basic life/AD&D, and accident insurance.APi Group is an equal opportunity employer.
