We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to serve as a cornerstone of our Orlando engineering operations. In this role, you will do more than execute designs—you will architect the mechanical soul of complex commercial infrastructures.

This is a legacy-building opportunity for a seasoned professional to take full ownership of diverse project portfolios within a collaborative, growth-oriented firm.Core ResponsibilitiesLead the mechanical design, complex engineering calculations, and system layouts for high-impact commercial and industrial projects.Independently steer engineering decisions across diverse sectors, ensuring all designs align with both internal excellence standards and rigorous building codes.Supervise, guide, and cultivate the skills of design staff and junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical precision.Partner with project managers and clients to define project scope, manage aggressive schedules, and ensure technical strategies align with budgetary constraints.Interface seamlessly with architects, civil engineers, and permitting agencies to ensure mechanical systems are perfectly integrated into the broader building lifecycle.Execute rigorous reviews of construction documents to ensure absolute functionality, coordination, and compliance with local and national regulations.Provide technical oversight from initial concept through final permitting, ensuring every deliverable meets the firm's standard for "smart, efficient, and practical design."Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).Active Professional Engineer (PE) License (Required).8+ years of dedicated mechanical engineering design experience, specifically within the AEC consulting sector.Advanced mastery of Revit and modern mechanical modeling/load calculation tools.In-depth understanding of national and local building codes (ASHRAE, IMC, IPC).Preferred QualificationsPrior success managing project types including grocery, retail, large-scale multifamily, or industrial facilities.Proven ability to manage multiple design teams simultaneously across various geographic jurisdictions.Familiarity with complex jurisdictional requirements and the ability to navigate the permitting process with efficiency.
