The Mechanical Engineer role is based in our New York City office.Key Responsibilities:As a Mechanical Engineer you will be part of a dynamic and experienced team that drives innovation, quality, and client satisfaction across all aspects of building design. Suitable candidates need to possess knowledge and experience for all phases of building design, including construction administration and commissioning.This is a full-time role which qualifies for four days in the office and one day remote.Primary Duties:Troubleshoot and execute assignments for multiple projects in a timely manner.Effectively and collaboratively work across multiple departments and stakeholders to help gather requirements, plan and execute project requirements.Draft and document equipment and processes to ensure seamless manufacturability of projects.Document operational intent and maintenance requirements for the end user.Maintain accurate records of design changes and project progress.Participate in onsite client visits including and not limited to project scope walks, meetings, testing, commissioning, startup support, and trouble shooting.Assist with client proposals and proposal developmentQualifications and Skill Requirements:7-10 years of experienceProfessional Engineer (PE license) preferredProficiency in Revit and AutoCADStrong knowledge of applicable codesDetail-orientedAbility to take direction and act independentlyAbility to work as part of a team.Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organizedExperience solving complex problems with little to no supervision and on schedule as an individual or as a member of an integrated teamExperience in the management and execution of multiple projects in Revit and AutoCADExcellent technical, presentation and client interface skillsUp to date with advancements in mechanical engineering technology and techniquesSeek opportunities to innovate and improve existing designs and processesEducation Requirement(s): Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or related field, from a 4-year accredited college or university.Bala offers comprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance package, 401(k) with employer match, Employer Paid Life Insurance, Up to (5) weeks of PTO based on years of experience and (8) paid holidays, 8 hours of Volunteer Time Off, Tuition and Licensure Reimbursement, Federal Student Loan Assistance including match up to $5,250 per year, Section 529 Plan (College Saving Plan), Employee Referral Program, Full-time onsite roles qualify for one day remote work.BALA's compensation package includes a rich benefits package along with market competitive salary structure.
