Duration: 12+ months on W2 (Possibility of extension)

Job Description:

Explain what the scope of the work/project is? Project Overview, deliverables (what is this person responsible for).

Supports hydroelectric facilities across Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Upper Michigan. Primary focus is hydro-related mechanical capital projects and reliability initiatives. Strong preference for Mechanical Engineering background. Responsibilities include managing reliability and capital projects, coordinating fleet initiatives across multiple wind farms, financial management of projects, scheduling, planning, contractor coordination, documentation, and project execution.

What are the top 3-5 skills and qualifications (technology/application/software, etc.) required?

Project management experience.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Engineering background (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).

Initiative and ability to work independently.

Strong communication skills.

Familiarity with project management and business systems.

Ideal candidate background and how many years required?

Mechanical Engineering background with project management heavily emphasized.

Experience can range from recent graduates to candidates with 15+ years of experience.

Role is project-management heavy with engineering knowledge applied to troubleshooting and reliability issues.

Are there any certifications/education that the candidate must possess?

Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Mechanical Engineering is preferred for this req.

ABET-accredited degree preferred/expected pending final confirmation.

Are there any preferred or "nice to have" skills?

PMP certification.

Engineer-in-Training (EIT).

Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Experience with project management software.

Accounting/business systems experience.

Drawing/print management experience.
