Mechanical Project EngineerLOCATION: Cheyenne, WYTRAVEL: YESPER DIEM: PROVIDEDSUMMARY The Mechanical Project Engineer supports planning, coordination, and execution of commercial, industrial, and infrastructure mechanical construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, field supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. A daily per diem is provided for all travel assignments.RESPONSIBILITIESSupport project managers with scheduling, procurement, cost tracking, and documentation.Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and constructability.Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities to maintain project workflow.Prepare RFIs, change order documentation, and project correspondence.Maintain logs for drawings, submittals, equipment, and project records.Conduct site walks to verify installation quality and progress.Assist with commissioning, testing, and turnover documentation.Work with field leadership to resolve technical issues and support daily operations.Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and project procedures.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.1+ years of experience in mechanical construction, HVAC, plumbing, or industrial systems.Ability to read and interpret plans, schematics, and technical documentation.Strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and project management software.Ability to travel and work on remote project sites as needed.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSCompetitive salary based on experience.Daily per diem for all travel assignments.Medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.Paid time off and company holidays.Opportunities for advancement into senior engineering and project management roles.Keith Ellis is recruiting for this position.
