Drug and background screenings required.OverviewThe Mechanical Project Engineer is responsible for implementing basic mechanical engineering technologies and using the design tools and executing engineering designs for assigned proposals & projects.
Candidates for this position are expected to have industrial plant or system design experience and be familiar with typical industrial mechanical equipment, including rotating equipment, heat exchangers, steaming equipment tanks, pressure vessels and gas ducting. Candidates must demonstrate teamwork, leadership, multi-tasking, and planning skills.ResponsibilitiesPerform design engineering activities involving the design of vessels, equipment, systems, components, etc.Design of steam, gas and chemical process equipment and systemsGather and organize information to assist in developing designs, specifications, and drawings of equipmentAssist with technical evaluations of bids and recommendation for purchaseAssist with vendor/shop drawings review to assure compliance with design/specificationsCollaborate with project team members and vendors.QualificationsMechanical Engineering degree with 3+ years of post academic experienceFamiliarity with the stage gate capital process and Front End Loading (FEL)Must have valid TWICEIT and/or PE preferredProficiency with CAD and other engineering software toolsStrong communication skillsStrong organization skillsDemonstration of working well within a team atmosphereAny electrical experience would also be highly valued, but not requiredFlexible Service has been the hallmark of On-Board since the company's inception in 1976, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
