The Opportunity
We are hiring a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Tech / Millwright for a high-volume FMCG packaging facility in the Freeport, IL area. You’ll join an established the team on 2nd shift, keeping high-speed production lines running smoothly.
This is a 100% mechanical role - focusing on drive systems, motor swaps, and fabrication. No heavy PLC programming or electrical controls required.
What You’ll Do
Perform mechanical teardowns, repairs, and preventive maintenance on high-speed packaging equipment, conveyors, and drive systems.
Remove, replace, and realign motors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, and drive belts.
Troubleshoot hydraulics, pneumatics, air lines, and fluid power systems.
Perform MIG/TIG welding and fabrication.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing, packaging, or industrial production (open to junior tech grads or seasoned millwrights).
Skills: Strong hands-on mechanical troubleshooting, motor/gearbox replacement, and welding/fabrication.
Shift: Ability to work 2nd shift
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $30.00 $45.00/hr (depending on experience).
