General Motors is seeking a Mechanical Journeyperson Toolmaker to support high-volume automotive manufacturing in Detroit, MI. In this role, you will build, repair and maintain precision tools, dies, jigs and fixtures that keep GM’s production lines running safely and efficiently. You will interpret blueprints and CAD data, operate manual and CNC machine tools, and use precision measuring equipment to hold tight tolerances.
Working closely with engineering and production teams, you’ll troubleshoot tooling issues, perform preventive maintenance and support continuous improvement in a safety-first, inclusive environment that values innovation and technical excellence.
