Mechanical Estimator

Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed HVAC and mechanical construction estimates.
- Develop accurate quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications.
- Review vendor and subcontractor proposals and evaluate pricing.
- Develop bid packages and scopes of work for subcontractors.
- Coordinate equipment selection, pricing, and procurement.
- Prepare equipment submittals and project documentation.
- Assist Project Managers and leadership with technical estimating support.
- Review construction plans, specifications, and project requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to develop cost-effective project solutions.
- Prepare and review project proposals, pricing, and bid documents.
- Support contract review and project handoff following award.
- Participate in project planning and scheduling during the preconstruction phase.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of HVAC or mechanical construction experience (10+ years preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of mechanical estimating experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and mechanical construction.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Experience performing quantity takeoffs and preparing competitive bids.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
