Responsibilities

  • Serve as an engineering leader and technical expert, answering questions and resolving issues brought by the engineering staff.
  • Create detailed engineering plans, processes, and procedures for staff to use.
  • Propose and oversee budgets and timelines for engineering projects.
  • Check and confirm the accuracy of work performed and the methods used by engineering staff.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other managers, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Prepare and deliver various engineering‑related presentations, both internally and externally.
  • Perform department management activities, including recruitment, hiring, coaching, and leadership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical design.
  • Team supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • PE license required.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self‑motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline‑driven environment, working individually or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of sustainable certification programs.
  • Strong software skills, including Revit.
