Onsite Full Time Engineering

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will lead and execute end-to-end mechanical engineering solutions aligned with precise functional, geometric, cost, quality, and regulatory targets. You will be responsible for integrating multi-disciplinary deliveries, safeguarding quality before product release, and shaping product and system roadmaps. Beyond technical design, this role acts as a key contributor to business development, cross-functional networking, and external academic partnerships while actively mentoring junior talent across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Design & Integration: Technical solutions designed to meet functional, stylistic, volume, geometric, cost, quality, and regulatory prerequisites. Sub-system and component deliveries from cross-functional teams integrated, with overall design quality and readiness secured prior to release.
  • Leadership & Execution: Mechanical design engineering activities led within assigned domain, driving execution to meet or exceed business targets. Component history data leveraged to inform project prerequisites and mitigate technical risks.
  • Roadmap & Innovation Input: Strategic inputs provided for product and system roadmaps, driving business development and continuous technical innovation.
  • Strategic Networking: Partnerships built and maintained with universities, research institutes, and external technical bodies. Cross-organizational networks managed to align engineering deliverables with wider business objectives.
  • Mentorship & T-Shaped Development: Technical coaching provided to junior engineers and peers. Deep discipline expertise balanced with broader cross-functional capability (T-shaped profile) while modeling lifelong learning.

Skills & Qualifications

Experience Required: 5+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience

  • Core Technical Expertise: Advanced CAD design (e.g., Creo, CATIA), mechanical integration, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T), design for manufacturing (DFM/DFA), and cost/quality target management.
  • System Integration & Quality: Deep understanding of product release processes, failure mode analysis (FMEA), regulatory compliance, and system-level validation.
  • Leadership & Coaching: Demonstrated ability to direct project workflows, mentor junior engineers, and foster a continuous learning environment.
  • Strategic & Network Influence: Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration, university/institute engagement, and contributing to technical roadmaps.
  • Communication: Clear articulation of value creation to technical leads and business area stakeholders.
