Mechanical Engineer - CFD / Data Center Systems Location: Remote or On-Site | Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 | Employment Type: Direct Hire / Full-Time | Experience: 4+ Years Preferred Job Summary We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling for data center systems. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience performing CFD analysis using Cadence software, with a strong background in data center cooling systems, airflow analysis, and thermal optimization. This role supports both interior white space and exterior infrastructure modeling to enhance cooling performance, energy efficiency, and overall environmental behavior of data center facilities. Required Qualifications Cadence CFD Software (Required): Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience using Cadence CFD tools for thermal and airflow modeling. This is a non-negotiable requirement. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering field. Demonstrated experience with data center cooling technologies including IT equipment, emergency generators, air-cooled/water-cooled chillers, cooling distribution units, cooling towers, adiabatic coolers, CRAH/CRAC units, liquid cooling systems, and containment solutions. Strong applied understanding of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics as relevant to HVAC and data center environments. Proficiency interpreting engineering drawings, equipment specifications, and facility layouts. Ability to manage multiple concurrent CFD modeling tasks with high attention to detail. Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders. Working knowledge of ASHRAE TC 9.9 and applicable data center design standards. Preferred Qualifications Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
