Overview VPA is seeking Mechanical PEs to support major capital projects involving rotating equipment, pressure vessels, piping, HVAC, and plant mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and stamped calculations for piping systems, supports, pressure boundaries, and rotating equipment.
- Develop mechanical design specifications, datasheets, and engineering deliverables.
- Perform stress analysis, fluid flow calculations, and thermal evaluations.
- Oversee equipment installation plans, QA/QC, and vendor submittal reviews.
- Conduct field walkdowns to verify installation and resolve issues.
- Support commissioning and start-up.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- PE license required.
- 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in industrial/power settings.
- Proficiency in CAESAR II or similar stress-analysis software.
- Preferred Gas turbines, steam turbines, CHP, or industrial facility experience.
- EPC experience a strong plus.
