Our specialized experience includes design for data centers, healthcare, science and technology, high-rise buildings, clean energy, education, and other building types as well as structural and building sciences, infrastructure asset management, advanced robotics, and more.Our technical expertise is paired with an exceptional team of business development, human resources, finance and accounting, information technology, and marketing professionals, all of whom play a key role in bringing our commitments to life every day.Our office in Oakland, CA is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment with primary responsibility to engineer and design projects for Data Centers, Commercial, Telecom, Education, and other highly sophisticated facilities.Responsibilities:Develop HVAC system designs of a given project based on scope of work and/or client RFPsProvide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems for a variety of market typesConduct existing building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC systemsPerform Load/Energy calculations with a variety of software as dictated by Client standards.Write/edit project specificationsDevelop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildingsPrepare detailed design documents, reports, and studiesComplete code compliance researchCollaborate with teammates from other design disciplines to deliver a well-coordinated project.Provide construction administration servicesPerform QA/QC of design workSkills:Proficiency in using engineering tools and software including Autodesk softwareFlexibility and willingness to work on various projects and tasks, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm.Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward. Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Desire to learn and grow.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with AutoCAD and RevitProficiency in MS OfficeAbility to travelQualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.2-5 years experience in Mechanical Engineering.Registration as EIT or PE preferred.Location: Oakland, CATravel: Up to 40% to mainly local client sitesCompensation & Benefits: The expected base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $105,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
