Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering
- 6+ years of previous mechanical engineering and design experience
- deep understanding of motor, gear and gearbox design
- proficiency with various Software tools (AutoCad, Creo, SolidWorks)
- Performing testing analysis
Job Description
Insight Global is searching for a Mechanical Engineer to support a variety of design projects onsite in the greater Grand Rapids, MI area. This position will be responsible for will be responsible for the design of transmissions and gear boxes for vehicles. Projects will include the full scope of product development including research, design, prototyping, and testing of functional improvements. In addition to, you will be expected to perform engineering calculations such as mechanical stress, structural, thermal fluids, and heat transfer.
