Onsite Contract Architecture and Engineering Occupations
Markon is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support repair technology development efforts for Navy-related engineering programs. This role involves leading test programs in laboratory environments and through commercial subcontractors, supporting the development, demonstration, and evaluation of established and novel repair technologies.n

nn Responsibilitiesn n

  • n Lead and execute laboratory test programs supporting repair technology developmentn
  • n Plan, follow, and execute technical work efforts in a compliant and timely mannern
  • n Develop technical designs, instructions, specifications, procedures, and reportsn
  • n Support development and demonstration of repair methods through subcontracted effortsn
  • n Draft, place, monitor, and report on subcontracted repair method development and demonstration contractsn
  • n Design experiments, analyze test results, and assist with technical report preparationn
  • n Interpret specifications, drawings, and engineering standardsn
  • n Support repair technologies including epoxy/composite methods, mechanical/machining processes, and arc welding technologiesn
  • n Coordinate with stakeholders, support groups, shipyards, vendors, and Naval Reactors Headquartersn
  • n Travel to vendors and shipyards to support project planning, equipment testing, and repair deploymentn

nn Qualificationsn n

  • n Must have active DOE L clearance or a DoD secret clearance to be considered.n
  • n Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university with 5+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of relevant experiencen
  • n Ability to develop and interpret specifications, drawings, and engineering standardsn
  • n Experience planning and executing test programsn
  • n Experience designing experiments and analyzing experimental resultsn
  • n Ability to prepare or support preparation of technical reportsn
  • n Digital design/CAD experiencen
  • n Potential for telework up to 10%.n

  • n Familiarity with digital data acquisition hardware and softwaren
  • n Knowledge of materials engineeringn
  • n Background in industrial operationsn
  • n Experience developing, testing, evaluating, and qualifying repair procedures in laboratory, vendor, or shipyard environmentsn

  • n 5-9 years of experience - $120,000-$127,000n
  • n 10+ years of experience - $128,000-$145,000n
  • n

nn Salary Rangen n

nUSD $120,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.n
