Duties
Assures the overall engineering design, control, coordination, and execution of assigned projects.
Reviews directives, site plans, specifications, mechanical design criteria, and other data to plan, layout, and assign work to be performed.
Coordinates planning, design, cost-engineering, and construction for engineering projects of substantial scope and complexity.
Conducts field investigations of existing mechanical infrastructure during project initiation to provide clear engineering assessments.
Reviews design architect-engineers' working drawings and specifications indicating building layout, as well as final drawings and specifications for conformance.
Serves as a technical consultant to resolve complex field problems with contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and construction personnel.
Represents the Facility Manager, serving as the facility's primary technical point-of-contact with prime contractors, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and various regulatory agencies.
Identifies engineering and execution problems early to facilitate rapid resolution.
