R & D Mechanical EngineerWe are seeking an R & D Mechanical Engineer to investigate technical problems, develop practical solutions, and contribute to product or process improvements through focused, high-quality engineering work. This role is well suited for someone who works independently, applies careful technical judgment, and produces accurate, well-documented results in a structured environment.Core ResponsibilitiesDesign, test, and refine mechanical product or process concepts through hands-on research and engineering analysis.Investigate technical issues, evaluate root causes, and recommend solutions based on data and documented findings.Plan and conduct mechanical testing, analyze results, and communicate conclusions and recommendations.Build, review, and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, test records, development notes, and engineering reports.Support product and process validation activities in accordance with established standards, procedures, and quality expectations.Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and operations partners to support development and implementation efforts.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to strengthen product performance, reliability, manufacturability, or quality.Maintain accurate engineering records and complete assigned work within established project timelines.RequirementsStrong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex mechanical engineering issues independently.Careful, structured approach to testing, analysis, documentation, and engineering decision-making.Ability to maintain accuracy and quality while managing detailed technical work.Clear written and verbal communication skills for specifications, findings, technical recommendations, and project updates.Ability to interpret technical data and use documented findings to support engineering decisions.Familiarity with mechanical design, testing, validation, and structured problem-solving methods.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.Comfort working in an environment with defined standards, procedures, and quality expectations.Other RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.Prior experience in research and development, product development, testing, or a related mechanical engineering function.Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, specifications, test records, and development reports.Familiarity with technical documentation, validation, and structured problem-solving methods.Ability to work on-site or travel as required by the position, if applicable.
