Mechanical EngineerWe are searching for a Mechanical Engineer that has a real passion for technology who can deliver on bold feature launch targets. As we continue to break into bigger deals, and formalize our technology offerings for the larger enterprise segment, this division within AMPAworks will blaze the path for the organization's product optimization.The RoleYou are an independent worker, can jump right into the role with minimal training or supervision 5+ years mechanical engineering full-time employment experience. You will develop innovative hardware designs for our robotic systems and improve existing hardware to optimize performance and enhance customer experience.

The ideal candidate is has experience designing and analyzing robotic systems, enjoys analytical problem solving and possesses practical knowledge of robotic design, fabrication, assembly and rapid prototyping.Key job responsibilities:Working with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production including specification, design, prototyping, validation and testingWorking with the Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organizations as well as vendors to ensure a smooth product launch and sustainingWriting requirements, functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test proceduresExhibit role model behaviors and ownership of your projectsDesign and adaptation of holistic hardware solutions for ambiguous problems with fluid requirements.Partner with cross-functional teams, vendors and integrators to deliver an automation solutionBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalentExperience communicating technical concepts and processes using clear, simple language and visualsExperience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffsExperience building prototypes to advance design thinking and the final product experienceSolidWorks/Fusion 360 or similar CAD experience, understanding of best practices for part design, advanced assemblies and complex configuration managementThorough understanding of principals, theories and concepts in mechanical engineering and ability to apply them to product designExperience with full lifecycle and proficiency at completing tasks to meet milestonesPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalentExperience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volumeExperience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organizationExperience in a highly agile environmentKnowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis toolsProficiency documenting designs in accordance with ANSI Y-14.5Experience in electronics packaging including PCBA mechanical design, incorporation of sensors and plastic PCBA enclosures that comply with IEC IP54Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management PLM software and ECO'sFinal compensation and equity package will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
