About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Mechanical Applications Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX . The ideal candidate will bring a background in mechanical engineering and relevant experience working with heat exchangers, cooling towers, chillers, condensers, or related systems . This role involves technical solution development, customer interaction, and supporting sales with application-specific product recommendations.
We welcome candidates at junior, mid-level, or senior experience levels , and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and industry experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to develop application-specific engineering solutions
- Analyze system requirements and recommend appropriate cooling or heat exchange technologies
- Prepare technical proposals, equipment selections, and performance estimates
- Support sales teams by providing technical consultation and solution validation
- Interpret customer specifications and prepare submittals and drawings as needed
- Assist in product lifecycle support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Participate in project handoff meetings with production and service teams
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry standards, products, and technologies
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree and experience
- Experience working with one or more of the following: cooling towers, heat exchangers, chillers, condensers, HVAC, or industrial thermal systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience with mechanical system design, controls, or specification review
- Experience in customer-facing roles
