Join us and you'll develop your skills and expertise to the very highest levels, working in an international environment for a company known the world over for its brilliance.Position Summary:The Mechanical Engineer generates complete design documentation packages and is responsible for design release control. This position designs components and subsystems for high output diesel and gas engines used in both mobile and stationary applications.Key Accountabilities:Develop and evaluate engineering designs (including subsystems) following industry and corporate standardsCreation of detailed 3D CAD models according to design standards or specificationsDevelop detailed design drawings with appropriate application of standards, norms, and GD&T specificationsDesigns must maintain high level of accuracyProficient use of PLM software (windchill)Lead overall communication, coordination and consultation with production, quality, vendors, and customersDevelop complex assembly drawings for new product BOM creationManage design change requests from initiation to implementationImplement improvement measures for manufacturing based on supplier, production, or customer feedbackDetermine validation/inspection plan for new or revised componentsConduct inspection and/or validation of first article components using precision tools, or coordination of 3rd party involvementCreate post-inspection report for part evaluationBasic Requirements:Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship.

We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this timeBachelor's Degree in Automotive, Mechanical (or equivalent) plus 3 years of design experience or 7 years of development, design or test engineering experience for battery, fuel cell, or electrolyzer productsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with 3D CAD involving cast part designStrong knowledge of drafting principles, practices, methods and techniquesExcellent knowledge of engineering processes and proceduresExcellent knowledge of GD&T, can interpret effect on component designExperience with PLM software such as WindchillExcellent analytical ability where problems may be unusual or difficultRolls-Royce is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
