Mechanical/Electrical AssemblerJoin our team as a Mechanical/Electrical Assembler, working on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly of both standard and custom machines, building and assembling abrasive blasting equipment from the ground up. This position is ideal for those with strong mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge, or hands-on mechanical experience. Whether you're an entry-level candidate eager to start a career in manufacturing, automation, or industrial equipment building, or a skilled candidate with experience in machine building or industrial assembly, we encourage you to apply.ResponsibilitiesBuild mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components according to engineering drawings and schematics.Wire and install electrical components, control panels, PLCs, and other electronic devices.Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and assembly drawings.Utilize hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment to complete assemblies.Assist with equipment testing, troubleshooting, and quality inspections.Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment as needed.Support disassembly and preparation of completed machines for shipment when necessary.Essential SkillsGood hand and power tool skills.Some wiring or electrical knowledge.Familiarity with hand tools, electrical assembly, and mechanical assembly.Additional Skills & QualificationsEntry-Level: Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing or machine building.Basic understanding of mechanical systems and hand tools.Exposure to electrical systems, automotive repair, maintenance, welding, fabrication, HVAC, or industrial trades is a plus.Ability to learn mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical assembly processes.Detail-oriented with a strong safety mindset.Basic computer skills.Experienced: Experience with machine building, industrial assembly, maintenance, controls, or electrical troubleshooting.Understanding of industrial electrical components and circuitry.Experience with PLCs, HMIs, relays, power supplies, sensors, and control systems preferred.Knowledge of ladder logic, Ethernet communications, and troubleshooting is a plus.NEC and UL508A knowledge is a plus.Why Work Here?Our company offers profit sharing bonuses and excellent benefits. It can get hot when the bay doors are open during the summer.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, MO.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.38 - $25.18/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
