Job Title

The candidate will work with CAD systems to create, modify, and release drawings and word drawings under the direct supervision of a supervisor for use by other departments and customers. This role requires close collaboration with all company departments to ensure that the drawings convey accurate and correct information.

Responsibilities include self-checking work for completeness, accuracy, adherence to codes and company standards, proper fits, and stack-ups. The candidate may also contribute to design elements and process improvements to enhance job efficiencies.

The role involves working from drawings, sketches, scanned images, verbal, or written instructions, following accepted drawing standards as guidelines.

Requirements include proficiency in CAD software for creating and modifying drawings. Ability to modify existing drawings to minimize redundancy and create new drawings when necessary while adhering to internal standards and deadlines. Strong knowledge of drafting standards and best practices. Bachelor's degree preferred, with 3+ years of experience in designing, drafting, and computer modeling using Creo. Prior experience with power tool manufacturing methods and materials is preferred. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong mechanical design skills and the ability to develop creative design solutions.
