HotFoot Recruiters is partnering with a well-established MEP consulting engineering firm to hire a Mechanical Designer / Engineer to join their design team in Taipei, Taiwan . This role will support mechanical and plumbing system design for commercial, healthcare, institutional, semiconductor, mission-critical, and other building projects.
This position is ideal for an early-career mechanical design professional with Revit, AutoCAD, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems experience who is looking to grow within a multidisciplinary MEP consulting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support mechanical and plumbing system design for commercial, healthcare, institutional, semiconductor, and mission-critical building projects.
  • Assist with HVAC layouts, plumbing layouts, piping design, equipment placement, and system coordination.
  • Develop construction drawings, design documents, and technical layouts using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Assist with load calculations, system sizing, basis of design narratives, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate mechanical/plumbing designs with electrical, structural, architectural, and other project disciplines.
  • Support project specifications, submittal reviews, RFI responses, and construction administration tasks.
  • Review drawings and documentation for accuracy, coordination, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Research and apply applicable codes and standards, including ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC, LEED, and local requirements.
  • Communicate with senior engineers, project managers, consultants, contractors, and internal team members.
  • Maintain organized drawing files, revisions, calculations, and project records.
  • Continue developing technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and building systems design.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field preferred.
  • 1-5 years of mechanical/plumbing design experience in the AEC, MEP, construction, or building systems industry preferred.
  • Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD required.
  • Experience with HVAC layouts, plumbing systems, piping layouts, equipment selection, and load calculations preferred.
  • Familiarity with Trane Trace, COMcheck, Excel, OneNote, Word, or similar design/documentation tools is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC, LEED, and building design standards preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to support multiple project deadlines.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn from senior engineers and grow within mechanical/plumbing system design.
