Mechanical DesignerClient: Refinery Location: Meraux, La Duration: 2 years plus Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Paid Time OffJob ResponsibilitiesPrepare engineering drawings for construction and fabrication work including detailed drawings, as-builts, schematics and flow diagrams, P& ID's and piping isometric drawings Provide a full range of drawing production work including problem analysis, design layout, and calculations Work with other disciplines on the project Provide advanced CADWorx drafting and design services by preparing and maintaining mechanical and piping engineering drawings for use in fabrication and construction Prepare CADWorx 3D designs from general instruction and/or preliminary sketches, diagrams, or schematicsTravel to field to make field sketches, take dimensions, and notes for drawing accuracy and climb ladders, stairs, and pipe racks at these locations Prepare Line Lists, Manual Valve Lists, Drawings ListsQualifications & Skills for SuccessMinimum of 3 years of experience working drafting and design in petrochemical industry (preferred) Knowledgeable of various petrochemical standards and codes: ANSI, ASME, PFI, etc.
