Onsite Full Time Mechanical Engineering and Toolmaking

  • Lead and mentor engineers responsible for mechanical design of APU internals.
  • Oversee creation of 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, engineering bills of material, and analysis artifacts per ASME Y14.5 and Honeywell standards.
  • Manage engineering deliverables and staffing across multiple APU new product development and sustainment programs.
  • Interface with customers and internal partners to define requirements, communicate design intent, and ensure certification readiness.
  • Champion effective use of NX, Teamcenter, and analysis tools; support digital transformation and design cycle-time reduction initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8–12+ years of engineering experience in aerospace or turbomachinery systems with APU exposure.
  • Experience with APU internals, propulsion systems, rotating hardware, and aerospace qualification processes.
  • Strong communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A willingness to learn the basics of 3D modeling, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
  • Strong desire for process improvement and the integration of digital transformation across the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with cross functional engineering teams and technical deliverables.
  • Honeywell Aerospace project management experience
