Job Description
You will report into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Designing and developing structural and mechanical components for UAV platforms using CAD tools
- Conducting stress, thermal, and fatigue analyses to validate design performance
- Collaborating cross-functionally with electrical, software, and systems engineering teams
- Supporting prototype builds, testing, and design iterations in lab and field environments
- Creating and maintaining detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Evaluating materials, manufacturing methods, and cost optimization strategies
- Participating in design reviews and ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards
- Troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing corrective design improvements

The Successful Applicant
A successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace, UAV, or high-performance mechanical design
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar)
- Experience with FEA tools and structural analysis methods
- Knowledge of composite materials and lightweight design principles
- Familiarity with aerospace standards and testing protocols
- Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills
