nYou will be the Mechanical Design Engineer Sr for an Air Dominance program. Our team is responsible for producing design key components of the missile system and associated test equipment.
nWhat You Will Be Doing
nAs the Mechanical Design Engineer Sr you will be responsible for the design, development and improvement to mechanical fixtures and automated test equipment for production test. They will also work with a cross-functional team to design, fabricated, and checkout test fixtures and equipment prior for implementation in a production environment. This position supports the Air Dominance Weapon System program in Orlando, FL.
nYour responsibilities will include:
n•Developing and generating CREO layouts and detailed drawings for mechanical fixtures used in the production test environment
n•Building BOMs, creating parts, assemblies, and design documentation of mechanical and electromechanical components and assemblies within Windchill PLM
n•Supporting & upgrading test equipment hardware designs for unit under test (UUT) fixturing
n•Support the build and assembly of hardware and test fixtures
n•Analyzing failures/anomalies associated with test equipment, UUTs, UUT fixturing, and providing recommended solutions
n•Coordinating with production teams to maintain test fixture and equipment uptime
n•Managing drawing releases, responding to CRs, generating CN's, and presenting/supporting change boards and design reviews

nBasic Qualifications:
nBachelor's Degree from an accredited university in mechanical, aerospace or related field
nStrong understanding of mechanical design engineering principles, structures, mechanisms, materials, and analysis
nKnowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and ability to perform moderately complex tolerance analysis
nMinimum 3 years experience with Creo or similar 3D computer-aided design software
nHave the ability to generate engineering drawings, documents, parts lists and specifications
nHave the ability to work with team members and contribute to projects
nHave the ability to contributed to investigative efforts and report status to interdisciplinary teams
nStrong communication, presentation, and time management skills
nAbility to travel occasionally to support test equipment assembly and checkout in factory environment
nDesired Skills:
nExperience with test fixture and test equipment design, including power supplies, cable harnesses, and/or HWIL setups
nExperience with additive manufacturing (3D Printing)
nExperience with model-based product definition
nExperience with missile programs
nSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

nAbility to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
nWork Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
nSchedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
