Mechanical Design Engineer

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in mechanical design with a focus on engineering drawings using ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Deep understanding of engineering drawings interpretation, preparation, and review.
- Experience in the Detailed Design phase.
- Experience with Legacy Drawings and specifications.
- Prior work experience in the aerospace industry or related field.
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience and understanding of gas turbine engine components.
- Proven application of ASME drawing standards including ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Talent to act as a mentor and coach.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Collaborate across engineering teams to create solutions and systems that meet customer needs.
- Participate in product development and production support phases, mentoring less experienced engineers.
- Review and validate aerospace engineering drawings to ensure full definition and adherence to standards.
- Assess designs for manufacturing and cost efficiency.
