Mechanical Design Engineer

Meet is partnered with a medical device company looking to bring on a Mechanical Design Engineer!

Location: Cleveland, OH (Hybrid)

Duration: 3–6 month contract

Schedule: 40 hours per week

We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support product development, design improvements, and engineering processes within the medical device industry. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on product design, prototyping, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop products, assemblies, fixtures, and supporting processes.
• Research new materials, design methods, and manufacturing processes.
• Support prototype builds and perform verification testing to validate designs.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing teams on technical documentation and change control.
• Create and manage engineering change orders and product release documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and updates to existing products.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in product and assembly design.
• Experience designing products in a regulated industry, ideally medical devices.
• Proficiency with CAD and 3D modeling software, preferably SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
