The candidate should have hands-on experience in Creo, mechanical design, and New Product Development (NPD). The role involves designing electromechanical products, developing 3D models and drawings, supporting prototype builds, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
* Design mechanical components and assemblies for new product development.
* Create 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using Creo Parametric.
* Design plastic, sheet metal, machined, and casting components.
* Support electromechanical products and enclosure design.
* Apply DFM/DFA principles to improve manufacturability and cost.
* Perform basic engineering calculations, GD&T application, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
* Support prototype development, testing, and design validation activities.
* Work closely with electronics, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams.
* Resolve design issues during prototype and production stages.
* Prepare engineering documentation, BOMs, and release packages.
Required Skills
* 2-3 years of experience in mechanical product design.
* Proficiency in Creo Parametric for 3D modeling and assembly design.
* Understanding of New Product Development (NPD) processes.
* Knowledge of plastic part design and injection molding.
* Experience in sheet metal, casting, and machined component design.
* Good understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturing processes.
* Basic knowledge of structural, thermal, or flow simulation.
* Familiarity with prototype development and product validation.
* Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
* Experience in electromechanical product development is preferred.
* Exposure to PLM/PDM systems and engineering change management is an added advantage.
