Mechanical Commissioning Engineer | Data Center | Remote with 65% Travel | United States

Responsibilities
- Lead and support daily commissioning activities across critical electrical systems in compliance with established standards.
- Develop and execute SOPs, MOPs, and commissioning test procedures; document all testing activities.
- Review project designs, specifications, and submittals to ensure alignment with commissioning goals.
- Perform and record functional testing on systems including chillers, boilers, Chilled Water Plants, packaged rooftop Units, and building management systems.
- Maintain commissioning logs, checklists, and quality documentation throughout the project.
- Analyze test data, troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools, and produce detailed commissioning reports.
- Oversee load bank and integrated systems testing; ensure accurate documentation of results.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in electrical commissioning within mission-critical environments (data centers, hospitals, telecom, disaster recovery).
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and experience with design or A/E teams on complex facilities.
- Familiarity with IEEE standards and commissioning protocols is a plus.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills across cross-functional teams.
- Commissioning certification or Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
