Mechanical Commissioning Engineer - Phoenix Metro Area
Global Edge Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to support a major industrial project in the Phoenix Metro area.
This position will be focused on the field execution of mechanical commissioning activities, working closely with construction teams, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to move systems through testing, turnover, and final acceptance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform mechanical system walkdowns and verify readiness for commissioning
* Coordinate and oversee testing and functional checks of mechanical equipment and systems
* Monitor equipment performance and identify deficiencies during commissioning
* Work with construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve outstanding issues
* Support system turnover, documentation, and acceptance activities
* Ensure commissioning work is completed in accordance with project requirements and established procedures
Systems may include:
* HVAC and cooling systems
* Pumps and compressors
* Heat exchangers and pressure vessels
* Mechanical utility systemsProcess piping
* Packaged mechanical equipment
Preferred Experience:
Candidates should have a strong background in mechanical commissioning, startup, or field execution on large-scale industrial projects. Experience within semiconductor or data center facilities is highly preferred .
