Mechanical AssemblerA Mechanical Assembler's job is to assemble parts and subassemblies into finished products using tools and equipment: Mechanical assemblers will be working in a warehouse/shop floor and will be assembling complete products. They will also be using automated equipment, forklift, or small cranes to move parts.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Produces components by assembling parts and subassembliesReads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructionsPositions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoistsUses hand tools or machines to assemble partsConducts quality control checksCleans and maintains work area and equipment, including toolsPrepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materialsPositions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurementsAssembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassembliesVerifies specifications by measuring complete componentsResolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications, notifying supervisor to obtain additional resourcesKeeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairsMaintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsMaintains inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels, placing and tracking orders, and verifying receipt of suppliesConserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsDocuments actions by completing production and quality formsQualificationsJob Requirements:Ability to pass a drug screen & background checkMust be able to read assembly blueprints in English formatMust be willing and able to work overtime and occasional weekends as requiredAbility to solve practical problems and work with limited standardizationWorking knowledge of shop safety practicesUnderstanding of quality assurance concepts, typically acquired through in-house trainingAbility to work effectively both independently and in a team environmentAdaptability and willingness to be cross trainedAbility to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing settingComfortable working in a factory environment with temperature variationsPhysically capable of standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing/pulling, and repetitive movements for up to 8 hours per dayMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsJob InfoJob Identification 43430Job Category AssemblyPosting Date 08/07/2026, 12:37 PMJob Schedule Full timeLocations 8017 Breen Road, Houston, TX, 77064, US
