Mechanical AssemblerParadigm is searching for a Mechanical Assembler to play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by prepping and finishing product builds for the Mechanical department before quality control reviews or tests. Type: 6-month contract to hire Pay: $20 - $22 per hour Location: On-site, Hillsboro, OR Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, 401K, PTO, and sick leaveAs a Mechanical Assembler, you will:Follow weekly build/ship and production schedule for the department via immediate supervisor/team lead and inform immediate supervisor/team lead if schedule will not be metPrepare the customer fixtures for press fitFinish the buildup of circuit boards from touch up according to specificationsEnsure proper labeling of circuit boards before sending quality control or testingInform supervisor or lead of any issues found on incoming boards to get directions on how to solve or how to fix the problemAudit kits from Prep/Insert to ensure the kit includes the right customer approved components and count is correctEnsure production area is clean and maintainedRedline and communicate any documentation discrepancies to immediate supervisorCommunicate any quality issues to the immediate supervisor within fifteen (15) minutes of findingKeep safety stock of all production consumables and order supplies as needed through immediate supervisorRequirements Our skills and experience wish list includes:High school diploma or GEDTwo years' established work experience, preferably in a manufacturing or computer component environmentAbility to establish and maintain positive and effective communications with other team members and stakeholdersStrong attention to detail and communication skillsMust be able to read and comprehend assembly and build instructions and other written materialMust be able to learn and work with LEAN working methods and processesMust comply with standards set by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)Ability to learn and follow ISO 9000 processBasic computer skills; proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferredParadigm offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, 401K, PTO, and sick days.
