Mechanical Assembly SupportUnder limited direction of a lead/supervisor/manager, provides assembly support in building mechanical assemblies.Primary Job Responsibilities:Reads and follows processes and performs work as assignedUses small hand tools including screw drivers, tweezers, mallets for mechanical assemblyCuts, strips, crimps, or otherwise assembles the materials used to produce cable assembliesDistinguishes colors and reads small print in order to perform procedural processLearns and retains information relating to standards and specifications, through provided classroom and on the job trainingAbility to evaluate any mechanical or material issuesPlaces finished goods in the designated areaMaintains a clean and safe work areaPerforms other related duties and assignments as requiredAll production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of productionEssential Job Requirements:4 years work experience related to mechanical assembly in the electronics industryMust have basic knowledge and ability in interpreting engineering drawings and following assembly and finishing processesA basic level of proficiency with various hardware and assembly materials and tools is a mustAbility to communicate with manager and follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to interpret all documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, customer supplied drawings and IPC-620 workmanship standardsAbility to solder RoHS compliant materialsMust be able to lift up to 30 poundsNon-Essential Job Requirements:Basic computer skills (database management, word processing and spreadsheet)Certified to IPC-A-610 or 620 workmanship standardsKnowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality standardsAbout CTEMS:CTEMS has been in the cable and electro-mechanical assembly market for almost a decade, with manufacturing and distribution in Fremont as an ISO 9001:2015, UL and NMSDC MBE certified company.
